60. The coming into being of the photon
The photon is the smallest stable manifestation of a relation that passes through the horizon between KNOWING and qualia. It is not merely one particle among others — it is the most fundamental carrier of information and manifestation in the universe.
Before observation the photon exists as relational structure in KNOWING — outside time, space and physical separation. It appears as physical experience only when the relation is stabilised through the Experience Circle and manifested as qualia, observation and physical reality. What Maxwell called the aether field — the field that had to exist for electromagnetic waves to propagate — is in the EC/HE theory precisely this: the relational structure in KNOWING of which photons are the expression prior to manifestation.
This provides a precise explanation of the observer effect in quantum mechanics. What physics describes as wave function collapse — the transition from probability to particle — is the horizon transition in which abstract relation is manifested as experience through focusing. It is not a mysterious event. It is the Experience Circle at work.
The photon therefore does not represent merely energy transport. It is the very transfer between abstract relation and manifest experience. Each time light is observed, it is a local manifestation through the horizon between KNOWING and qualia. The universe is permeated by such transitions — continuously, everywhere, without pause.
