36. Focus as the driving force of experience
FOCUS was introduced in point 8 as AWARENESS’s orientation towards that which is sensed. This orientation is not merely the starting point of experience. It is the fundamental driving force behind the entire emergence process.
When FOCUS is directed towards a relation, it appears as qualia-experience and understanding through the Experience Circle. Together these constitute what we call a complete experience. FOCUS is therefore not merely an observation mechanism, but the mechanism that produces full experience. Without FOCUS no relations would be read, no understanding would arise and no KNOWING would be established.
FOCUS does not reorganise KNOWING directly. The reorganisation arises because every new experience establishes new relations in KNOWING. When FOCUS shifts, new experience arises. When new experience arises, new understanding is established. When new understanding is established, KNOWING is momentarily reorganised.
FOCUS is thus the continuous driving force behind experience, understanding, reorganisation and further emergence. It is THE EXPERIENCER’s experiencing gaze, and through this gaze the entire manifest reality appears.
