10. OBSERVATION

The splitting of FOCUS establishes the first observation.

THE SENSATION is followed by FOCUS, while the perspective on the same sensation gradually emerges.

Observation is therefore not passive registration of something already understood. Observation is the very process by which THE SENSATION is examined through the emerging perspective. It does not read anything new into the experience — it reads the B/E tension that is already present from the first differentiation.

What will later become understanding is gradually built up through this observation. THE SENSATION and the perspective develop synchronously throughout the entire process. The clearer the perspective becomes, the more complete the observation.

It is this observation process that the Experience Circle and the Horizon Equation describe — not as mechanisms that arrive from outside, but as the precise formalisation of what is already happening here.

Observation thus represents the first organised reading of experience and forms the foundation for the first understanding.
