1. COMMENTARY: What is meant by experience?
In this theory the word experience is used in a broader sense than is customary in psychology and everyday speech.
Experience does not denote merely the quale-experience of a relation, but the entire process by which a relation is sensed, lived through, interpreted, given meaning and integrated into KNOWING.
Experience thus encompasses qualia, understanding, attractor formation and cognition as different aspects of one and the same process.
When the theory refers to THE EXPERIENCER, it therefore does not mean a passive observer of experiences, but the instance in which experience and understanding simultaneously arise and are inseparable.
THE EXPERIENCER experiences.
