17. THE RELATION

When E1 and E2 exist simultaneously, the first relation between understandings also arises.

THE RELATION is not something added to the understandings afterwards.

It arises simultaneously with the understandings themselves.

For the first time one understanding can be seen in the light of another understanding.

This establishes THE RELATION as an independent phenomenon.

THE RELATION is therefore not secondary in relation to the understandings.

It is what makes understanding possible.

When relations arise, new differences, new perspectives and new possibilities for further understanding simultaneously arise.

THE RELATION therefore represents the fundamental mechanism that drives further emergence in KNOWING.

No understanding exists in isolation.

All KNOWING arises through relations.
