7. THE FORM OF THE SENSATION

THE SENSATION is not formless. It has a shape.

The first differentiation from BEING is not an arbitrary signal. It is the simplest possible oscillation between two poles — between that which is and that which is not, between BEING and VOID. This oscillation has the form of a sine curve: one complete cycle of rising and falling, a wave that returns to its own origin.

This is not a mathematical coincidence. The sine curve is the geometrically necessary form for the first stable alternation between B and E — between that which is sensed and that which understands. It is the simplest possible form that contains both sides of the polarity in one continuous movement.

Focus follows this form. Not because it chooses to do so, but because it cannot follow anything else — the shape of THE SENSATION is the only thing there is to follow. All further observation occurs along the same fundamental form in new configurations and new contexts. It is variations on this one motif that ultimately build up all spatial structure, all physics and all manifest experience.

The Horizon Equation (HE) confirms this from the other side of the horizon. The Horizon Equation is built on cosine geometry over a closed cycle of N=104 steps — and the cosine is the sine seen from the top of the oscillation rather than from the zero point. They are the same function. This means that the Horizon Equation is not merely consistent with the sine form as the fundamental form of THE SENSATION — it presupposes it. The ontology and the mathematics describe the same structure from each their side: focus follows the sine from within, the Horizon Equation formalises it from without.

This is the universe’s fundamental tone. The only note played from the beginning — and of which everything else is harmonics.
