1. BEING (VÆREN)

BEING is.

This is the ontological ground state. No further explanation is possible, because every explanation already presupposes what it attempts to explain. BEING is therefore not a result of anything else, not a property of anything else, and not derived from anything more fundamental.

All experience, all understanding, all differentiation, all observation and all manifestation presuppose BEING. Without BEING there are no relations, no differences, no experience and no possibility for anything whatsoever to appear.

Non-BEING is logically impossible. Every denial of existence already presupposes existence. Even the conception of absolute nothingness must exist as experience or understanding in order to be thought at all. BEING can never be fully annulled.

BEING therefore does not represent one phenomenon among other phenomena, but existence itself as such. The word expresses simultaneously both that which IS, and that which experiences that it IS — and it is precisely this double nature that is the necessary precondition for the emergence of the Experiencer, focus, observation and KNOWING.

One cannot go further inward than BEING. Every attempt to seek a deeper foundation collapses back into the same necessity: that something must be.

BEING is therefore not merely the beginning of the Startup Sequence. BEING is the precondition for the Startup Sequence to exist at all.
